This is the account we pay your rebate into once HMRC releases it.
Where to find it
Sign in at app.taxpro.co.uk, open your claim, then open the Banking step.
The web address looks like app.taxpro.co.uk/claims/<your claim>/banking.
What you need
The account holder's name, exactly as the bank has it
Sort code, six digits
Account number, eight digits
Whose account it can be
It should be an account in your own name. A joint account you're named on is fine. We can't pay into somebody else's account, because the refund is yours and we have to be able to show it went to you.
Building society accounts are fine. If yours needs a roll number, add it where prompted.
Changing it later
You can update these details any time before we pay out, in the same place. If your claim has already been paid, the money has gone to the account that was on file at the time.
When you'll actually be paid
HMRC release the refund to us as your tax agent, and we pay it into this account within 2 to 3 working days.
If the step won't save, check the sort code is six digits and the account number is eight, with no spaces. Still stuck? Message us here.
