When your claim is ready, we send you a personal estimate to approve before anything goes to HMRC.
How the figure is worked out
Your estimate is based on your own records: the work history and expenses we pull from HMRC, plus anything you have added such as travel and mileage. It is not an average or a guess, it is specific to you.
Why it might be lower or higher than you expected
A refund can only ever be a portion of the tax you actually paid. If you paid less tax in a year, the rebate for that year is smaller, even if your expenses were high. The amount we show is what you would receive after our fee.
Think something is missing?
If you believe expenses or work history are missing, tell us before you approve. It is much easier to add them now than after submission. If it all looks right, approve it and we will submit to HMRC.
