What the estimate is
Once our tax team has reviewed your claim and prepared your tax return, we calculate what HMRC owes you. You will get an email and a text telling you your estimate is ready. đ
The figure you see in your account is your take-home amount â what lands in your bank after our fee. You can also open the estimate document itself from your claim page to see the full breakdown.
How to approve it
Log in and open your claim â you will see your estimate with an Approve button.
Review the figure and the attached document.
Press Approve. You may then be asked to complete a quick identity check (a photo of your ID plus a selfie) â this is a legal requirement before we can submit a claim in your name and takes about 2 minutes.
What happens after you approve
Our accountants submit your return to HMRC, usually the same working day. From there HMRC processes it and releases your refund â see "How long does my tax rebate take?" for timings.
Questions about the figure?
If the estimate looks different from what you expected â for example an expense seems missing â do not approve yet. Message us here first and the team will check it with you. Nothing goes to HMRC until you approve. â
